itineraries - Cross country skiing Hiking - Monte Cappuccia
This route is suitable for an adventurous cross-country skier who is not afraid to leave behind the comfortable groomed slopes of the plateau Voltigno and face a hike in a pristine environment of fact.
Going from Carpineto della Nora reach the plateau of Voltignolo (follow the signs to the farm Voltigno) near the intersection of the dirt road (in winter cross country skiing joke) that comes from the side of Villa Celiera.
Leave the car and look on the left (facing the intersection) the monument to the mountain and then followed the valley that will take us below the summit of Cappuccia just out of the woods. The climb in the woods often forced to continue in a herringbone pattern due the slope.
takes us out of the woods on the left to reach the ridge that leads to the summit of Mount Hood. The summit follows the ridge and then descend again in the wide valley. It follows the valley (not counting the track edge) to the end where you cross the dirt road that climbs from Villa Saint Lucia degli Abruzzi. Here you go right uphill and follow the obvious dirt. Is set aside several intersections until the beginning of the descent (always a dirt road) to the beginning of which there is a wooden sign "dangerous road". The following is all downhill until you reach the edge of the woods, and then you reach the farm house Voltigno.
From here you reach the car briefly. Here the route
